Tarjumatul Quran - Surah al-Zukhruf [The Gold Ornaments]: 1 - 33

Description

Verse 5: The phrase ٱلْكِتَبِ أُمِّ [‘Mother of the Book’] is commonly applied to the opening chapter of the Quran [the] al-Fatiha which like a seed has all the basic teachings and characteristics of the Quran. But here it seems to apply to the blueprint of the Divine Book which is some form is preserved with God, in dimensions not fully fathomable by man. Verse Number 14 contains the very intricate prayer for embarking upon a mode of transport سُبْحَنَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقْرِنِينَ [Holy is He Who has subdued this to our service for we by ourselves, were unable to harness it.' By reciting this prayer having understood its meanings one would come under the Divine protection. However strong the for of transport may appear and however experienced the traveler they can never reach the destination without security being graced by God and it is possible that instead of the transport conveying one to the destination transports one into the next world. In the next verse [15] it is foolish to attribute boys or girls to God. For God is spirit. If girls [in themselves] were a bad thing why did Allah the Almighty bless the Holy Prophet ﷺ with them? 16 June 1998. © The Tahir Archive / MTA International, 2016.
