Sugar 1/2 cup
Plain flour 1 1/2 cup
Almond (ground) 1/2cup
Khoya 1/2 cup (substitute khoya by using kalakand)
Honey 1 tbsp
Baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Milk 1-2 tbsp (if required)
Base of cake pan:
Whole almond(sliced) 15-20
Crsuhed Almonds 1/2 cup
Method for base of cake pan
Take a cake pan and grease it very well with butter.
arrange sliced almonds on the base of the pan.
Now sprinkle the crushed almonds in it, making sure it sticks to the sides of the pan as well.
Preheat the oven to 350
For the cake batter:
With an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar with honey o until the paste is finely broken up
Add eggs one by one
than add Vanilla Essence and khoya.
Now mix together plain flour and baking powder then mix in ground almonds.
Add this batter into the egg and butter mixture.
If the batter is slightly thick (because of cold weather) then add a little milk to make it smoother batter.
Transfer the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-40 minutes.
