Holy Quran Exhibition & Book Fair Masroor Mosque VA


On March 2nd, Lajna Imaillah of Virginia South held a ladies only Book Fair at Masroor Mosque, in Manassas Virginia. The highlight of the Book Fair was the Holy Quran Exhibition in which Holy Quran with translations in over 35 languages were displayed for the visitors. In addition, some large posters highlighting the teachings of the Holy Quran were part of the exhibition. In relation to international women's day, an activity was arranged on the topic of empowerment of women through the Holy Quran. The purpose of this activity was to inform guests about rights given to women by the beautiful teachings of Islam. Results of a survey conducted at the event showed that guests found women's right to spiritual equality given by Islam was most significant in today's society. In addition to Holy Quran Exhibition, the book fair offered literature on various topics for all including books by Ahmadi women authors, non Ahmadi women author of the area, and children’s books etc. Similarly a stall for Review of Religions magazine was arranged. Humanity first USA also had a stall at the occasion the purpose of which was to create awareness about the great work Humanity First does globally and do Fundraising. At the fair, children's activities area provided a fun place for children to enjoy a number of free arts & crafts, and get free balloons. Local lajna had arranged food, Mehndi and jewelry stalls for the fundraising purposes. Alhamdulillah the holy quran exhibition and book fair helped spread the true message of Islam to over 150 visitors which included 21 non ahmadi guests.
